Northern Writers’ Centre announces spring events programme
01.02.2008
The Northern Writers’ Centre will open to the public as part of Newcastle University’s Cultural Quarter in 2011. Spring 2008 sees the launch of the Centre’s creative programme, which, from now until the building opens its doors, will showcase the type of high-profile literary events that will typify the Centre’s year-round programme.
This season of work has an international focus and takes as a starting point the relationships between the UK, the US, and the world, whether this be via a discussion on how poetry is evolving in the US and UK, or how writers have responded to the Iraq conflict.
