Ruth Padel Bloodaxe Poetry Lecture

On Tone: What Is It? How Does It Affect Everything? and What Is Its Relation to Sound?

Tone is a musical image. Or is it? How does tone sound? One word can change the tone, and therefore the poem, completely.

This year the Bloodaxe Poetry Lectures will be given by acclaimed poet Ruth Padel. Padel is the author of 52 Ways of Looking at a Poem and The Poem and the Journey, two books that have done much to engage and enlighten readers of contemporary poetry.
