On Metaphor and Saying Otherwise
Why do poems like metaphor so much? Why go away from what you are talking about, to ‘say it otherwise’?
This year the Bloodaxe Poetry Lectures will be given by acclaimed poet Ruth Padel. Padel is the author of 52 Ways of Looking at a Poem and The Poem and the Journey, two books that have done much to engage and enlighten readers of contemporary poetry.
